Bush (CVN 77) during a press conference held aboard the ship. The visit, whose guests included Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was conducted to strengthen U.S.-Israel relations and the two nations commitment to stability in the region. The ship and its carrier strike group are conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
