FORT LEE, Va. (July 14, 2017) -- By the time initial entry Soldiers are enrolled in advanced individual training, they would have sung the “Army Song” enough to know it by heart and enough times it may become mundane. For this unidentified advanced individual training Soldier attending the Centennial Day Celebration July 10 at Williams Stadium, the traditional tune – a staple at all types of events patriotic and otherwise – seemed to free passions in him not evident in his battle buddies. Was he in a hyped-up singing mood or did the lyrics ring true to him in the moment? Only the Soldier knows, but whatever moved him made for a moment worth capturing.
