The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Scranton (SSN 756) departs Naval Station Norfolk for a scheduled six-month deployment as sailors assigned to the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Boise (SSN 764) render a final salute. Scranton is deploying to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility where it will execute the Chief of Naval Operation Maritime Strategy in supporting national security interests and maritime security operations.
