FORT BENNING, Ga. — A competitive junior marksman competes during the small-bore match, contested for the first time ever, at the 2017 U.S. Army National Junior Air Rifle Championship Jan. 27-29. Approximately 150 junior marksmen competed in the three-day event at the Pool International Indoor Range Complex, hosted by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. The U.S. Army is sponsoring this youth national championship to promote the development of rifle marksmanship skills among American youth and to recognize those who respond to this challenge.
