The U.S. Army and Fort Indiantown Gap, run by members of the Pennsylvania National Guard, teamed-up this month to dispose of hundreds of Civil War-era cannonballs found in Pittsburgh this spring. The munitions were destroyed at Fort Indiantown Gap. A cross-section of a cannonball shows the shot inside. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Maj. Angela King-Sweigart)
