Spc. Nathan Smith, a native of Anchorage, Alaska, and Spc. Barrett McClung, a native of Phoenix, Ariz., from the 404th Civil Affairs Battalion, Airborne, fold the World Trade Center flag on Jan. 24 at Forward Operating Base Salerno in Kwohst province, Afghanistan. The flag is carried by the 404th Civil Affairs Battalion, Airborne to different FOBS in Regional Command East to give soldiers a chance to see the flag. The 404th will carry the flag for a year and then give it back to Ground Zero in July of 2011 to be put on display in the museum.
