170725-N-ME988-0493 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (July 25, 2017) Sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) use a forklift to remove cargo from an MV-22B Osprey assigned to the Blue Knights of Marine Medium Tiltroter Squadron (VMM) 365 (Reinforced) on the ship’s flight deck. Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
