Scout Marines with 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company, 4th Light Armor Reconnaissance Regiment move ahead of their Light Armor Vehicle (LAV) to ensure the path is clear of enemy tanks. The LAV is used as a fast, quiet vehicle for scouting missions, as well as support against enemy units. The Marines are training in a combined arms environment part of exercise Northern Strike 17.
