Miguel Quintero, an ocean engineer assigned to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division's Model and Testing Branch for Surface Ships, records and analyzes data collected from a wave energy converter being tested in the command's Maneuvering and Seakeeping Basin in West Bethesda, Md., Aug. 3, 2017. This WEC test was the second of its kind done as a knowledge share in collaboration with engineers from Sandia National Laboratory in the MASK as part of an effort to increase the efficiency and amount of power generated and collected by these devices.
