VAZIANI TRAINING AREA, Georgia — A soldier of the 1st Engineer Sapper Company, Engineer Brigade, of the Georgian Armed Forces, unrolls yarn for lumber obstacle in the company-sized engagement area, at Vaziani Training Area, Georgia, Aug. 6, 2017. The yarn measures the level angle of the posts down the width of the engagement area. The 500th Engineer Support Company (ESC), 15th Engineer Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Sustainment Theater Command, Grafenwoehr, Germany, digs the ditch with a High Mobility Engineer Excavator (Hmee-I), where the lumber is placed. The 500th ESC participates in Exercise Noble Partner, a multinational U.S. Army Europe-led exercise conducting home station training for the Georgian light infantry company designated for the NATO Response Force.
