Cpl. Kamarius A. Simmons, assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 24, gives commands for fellow Marines to execute sword movements per the Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual as part of the syllabus of a Corporal’s Leadership Course aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) August 3, 2017. Simmons is also a student currently attending the course. The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit is underway with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet and U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations.
