CAM RANH INTERNATIONAL PORT (August 6, 2017). Operations Specialist 3rd Class Andrew Pilieri, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, assigned to the Operations department aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), stands watch on the bridge wing while pulling into the Cam Ranh International Port. San Diego is currently in Cam Ranh International Port for a routine technical stop and for the crew to have an opportunity to experience Nha Trang. San Diego, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
