A sailor with Assault Craft Unit 5 ground guides the driver of a tactical vehicle into position to be secured to the deck of a landing craft aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb 22, in preparation for part of Exercise Iron Fist, a bilateral training exercise between Marines and sailors of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, Western Army Infantry Regiment soldiers. The exercise is designed to enhance interoperability and build amphibious capabilities.
