Spc. Alejandro Perez, Company B, 27th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, raises his hand over his heart to say the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance for the first time as an American citizen during a U.S. Forces-Iraq Naturalization Ceremony at Al Faw Palace in Baghdad, Feb. 21. Alejandro joined 52 other soldiers in taking the U.S. oath of citizenship, while deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn.
