Guluzian, commanding officer, USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) speaks with local media during a media availability on the pier at Naval Station Norfolk. The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) is on-loading personnel, equipment and supplies in preparation to assist with disaster relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Hurricane Harvey formed in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in southeastern Texas, bringing record flooding and destruction to the area.
