Bonhomme Richard served as the flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group during the deployment, which was highlighted by the U.S.-Australia bilateral exercise Talisman Saber and several port visits in Australia resulting in enhanced interoperability and relations between the two allies.
