Tim Hermann, a Fountain City, Wis., native, and lock and dam operator at St. Paul District’s Lock and Dam 2, in Hastings, Minn., places filled sandbags on a pallet that will be used to create temporary levees in preparation of potential flooding March 21. The St. Paul District is actively involved in assisting local and state governments with the possible flooding that has been predicted by the National Weather Service. The Corps will continue to offer technical expertise to local communities in order to protect critical infrastructure.
