Soldiers of The Caisson Platoon, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) were awarded the Army’s first Military Horseman Identification Badge at Conmy Hall, on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., Sept. 29, 2017. Requirements for the badge include the Basic Horsemanship Course, completion of 100 Armed Forces Full Honors Funerals at Arlington National Cemetery, serve honorably for a minimum of 9 months in the Caisson Platoon and be recommended by the Commander of 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment.
