CAMP FOSTER, OKINAWA, Japan – Volunteers use friction to cut rope into pieces at the end of the Naha Giant Tug-of-War Festival Oct. 8 in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. Participants were able to take pieces of the rope home as souvenirs and good luck charms for the coming year. The diameter of the rope is over one meter.
