171017-N-TN557-006 SAN DIEGO (Oct. 17, 2017) - Paul Anderson, assigned to Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Pacific, conducts a system check on the Meteorological Mobile Facility (Replacement) Next Generation (METMF(R) NEXGEN) program’s doppler weather radar. Military and civilian technical experts from Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I) and SSC Pacific are preparing to deploy two doppler weather radars to Puerto Rico to temporarily replace the National Weather Service’s weather radar severely damaged by Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
