U.S. soldiers and sailors stand next to Ugandan People's Defense Forces soldiers and salute the Ugandan and American flags during the playing of both countries' national anthems during the ATLAS DROP 11 opening ceremony at the Soroti Airfield, April 13. ATLAS DROP, an annual joint aerial-delivery exercise sponsored by U.S. Army Africa, brings together U.S. Army personnel with counterparts from the UPDF, and is designed to enhance the readiness of both countries' resupply and logistical capabilities, and will consist of classroom instruction and a field training exercise.
