171017-N-TR141-0318 SEA OF JAPAN (Oct. 17, 2017) Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class Silvester Fernandez, from Queens, N.Y., assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90), releases the bitter end of a line during a replenishment-at-sea with USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE 8). Chafee is part of the U.S. 3rd Fleet and U.S. Naval Surface Forces, currently deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility on a routine scheduled deployment.
