Students of Elena L. Christian Junior High School in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands are all smiles on their first day back to school since Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the island. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers provided temporary emergency power, temporary roofing and infrastructure assessments to schools throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands in order for students and teachers to be able to head back to the classroom.
