POPE ARMY AIRFIELD, N.C. — Airman 1st Class Fernando Sanchez, a 39th Airlift Squadron loadmaster from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, tests a parachute platform on a C-130J Hercules while waiting for a load of 82nd Airborne Division paratroopers on Green Ramp here Oct. 26. Soldiers from the 82nd loaded the aircraft for night drop training operations. Crews and aircraft from the 317th Airlift Wing at Dyess flew missions out of Pope Field all week with support from the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group here, ensuring readiness of Airmen and Soldiers supporting America’s Global Response Force.
