Fort Sam Houston hosts a Veterans Ceremony and Celebration for all military veterans, family and friends in the greater San Antonio area Nov. 8, 11 a.m.
Lt. Gen. Kenneth R. Dahl, Commanding General, Installation Management Command honors the service and sacrifices of veterans during a ceremony on MacArthur Field beginning at 11 a.m. The celebration continues after the ceremony with a variety of activities on an adjacent field. There will be food, drinks and the 323rd Army Band “Fort Sam’s Own” performing as well. The day’s activities are free and open to the public – all non DOD ID card holders should arrive early to process through the Walters Street Gate Visitors Center.
