Lt. Gen. Anwar Ahmed, Iraqi air force commander, and Iraq’s Parliamentary Committee Chairman of the Security and Defense, Hassan al-Sunaid, thanked U.S. advisors for their efforts during the Iraqi air force's 80th anniversary celebration here April 21. General Anwar also said he looks forward to maintaining a close strategic partnership with U.S. Air Force advisors after the scheduled transition in December.
