Individuals of all demographics are susceptible to becoming a victim of fraud, which is wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. Precautions service members can take against victimization include remaining alert when meeting new people on social media or dating sites and restricting access to military-related photos and information on social media as well as in the local community.
