Sgt. Shannon Tew, a squad leader with Company A, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, smiles as he crosses the finish line of a 12-mile foot march April 29 here. Tew, a Fortuna, Calif., native, was one of 742 soldiers in 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division soldiers who participated in the first EIB testing conducted by a Stryker brigade on JBLM since the program's recent change. Tew's reenlistment ceremony was held after he completed the foot march.
