U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Jesus Valles, 883rd Quartermaster Company, based in Broken Arrow, Okla., provides AN/PAS-13 familiarization training to Soldiers using a thermal weapon sight for the first time during Operation Cold Steel II at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., Dec. 4, 2017. The device allows Soldiers the capability to locate targets day or night at great distances, through smoke and fog. Approximately 100 military police Soldiers with the 200th Military Police Command participated in Operation Cold Steel, the largest gunnery operation in the history of America’s Army Reserve led by the U.S. Army Reserve and hosted by the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, training Soldiers to work as gunnery teams with crew-served weapons.
