U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Jan. 8, 2018) – Brig. Gen. Francis Donovan, commanding general of Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51, 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, reads 1st Sgt. Christopher Singley the oath of office during his promotion ceremony to sergeant major. TF 51/5 provides command and control of integrated Navy-Marine Corps amphibious forces, serving as Marine Forces, Central Command and U.S. Naval Forces Central Command’s standing headquarters for crisis response and is entrusted with synchronizing forces across the area of responsibility for unity of effort, providing commander USCENTCOM an integrated HQ with flexible and deliberate response options at sea, from the sea and ashore.
