Staff Sgt. Jason E. Gagne, the operations non-commissioned officer and trombone player for the 36th Infantry Division Band, and Sgt. Jessica Lindstrom, a clarinet player with the band who volunteered to deploy as a mailroom clerk with Headquarters and Support Company, 36th Division Special Troops Battalion, enjoy the Toby Keith concert together on Contingency Operating Base Basra April 28. The two tied the knot during the division’s pre-mobilization training at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Gagne, a 28-year-old native of Woonsocket, R.I., and Lindstrom, a 28-year-old native of Eagle Grove, Iowa, were drawn to Austin, Texas for different reasons. They met and began dating when Lindstrom, who is waiting on the final paperwork for legally changing her name to her husband’s, joined the Texas Army National Guard band in 2009.
