Robert Conlon stand at the position of attention during an award ceremony at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 18. Lepping, Bouten and Jackson were awarded the Bronze Star Medal with combat distinguishing device for actions while deployed to Afghanistan. Maldonado and Conlon received the Purple Heart for wounds they received while deployed, but were still able to finish their tours.
