Senior Airman Hoang Nguyen, 451st Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Detachment 1 Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility, aerospace medical technician, secures a litter of a wounded Marine onto an ambulance bus at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, in order to transport him to a waiting C-130 Hercules. The CASF team is responsible for taking care of and transporting patients from the staging facility and role hospital to aircraft who are then transported to the next level of medical care. Airman Nguyen is deployed from the 88th Medical Operations Squadron, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
