Sailors from Assault Craft Unit 1 render honors after laying a wreath during a memorial service for Landing Craft Utility 1500. The wreath was ceremoniously laid into San Diego Bay in memory of the sailors who lost their lives aboard LCU-1500. LCU-1500 was hit by an enemy rocket during the Vietnam War, killing her 13-man crew, along with several nearby sailors on Feb. 27, 1969 at Bridge Ramp in Da Nang, Vietnam.
