This Digital Twin-Submarine graphic was created in October 2017 and is being used in presentation material for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division to show the Navy Digital Twin framework, which will allow data sharing between simulations of a variety of physics and levels of fidelity. All models in the Navy Digital Twin framework will exploit current and historical data to arrive at optimal descriptions of ship susceptibility. This graphic shows elements of the Navy Digital Twin framework using a submarine as an example. The various and multiple data points illustrate the massive information flow and analysis; the cloud represents the sharing of knowledge; and other elements are described within the graphic.
