180119-N-AZ181-0001 LIQUICA, Timor-Leste (Jan.19, 2018) Lt.j.g. Daniel McCarthy assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, spoke at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Liquica Primary School Assembly Building. In attendance were over 1400 school children, along with The Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Dr. Mari Alkatiri and the new U.S. Ambassador to Timor-Leste Ambassador Kathleen Fitzpatrick. NMCB 4 is forward deployed to the pacific, ready to support major combat operations, humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operations, and provide general engineering support to Navy, Marine Corps, and joint operational forces.
