Jesuit High School‘s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, New Orleans, La., visited Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego June 7 as part of their annual leadership camp. The 49 members of the JROTC were in attendance. They had the opportunity to learn close order drill from a drill instructor and will be able to attend the graduation ceremony June 10, as well as get a chance to go through the Confidence Course. According to their JROTC Instructor Master Gunnery Sgt. Johnny Piseno, retired USMC, the intent of the visit is to familiarize the students with the military by giving them hands-on experience. During their trip to San Diego the JROTC will also be visiting Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and Camp Pendleton.
