Staff Sgt. Christopher Thomas, a bulk fuels specialist with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, received the staff non-commissioned officer runner-up award from Maj. Gen. Melvin G. Spiese, the deputy commanding general for I Marine Expeditionary Force, during an awards ceremony here, June 8. The awards ceremony is held annually by the American Petroleum Institute as a way to recognize personnel and unit's hard work.
