AEOP and its participants develop and implement programs for students and teachers that aim to attract the next generation of STEM talent and tell them about DOD STEM careers. Almost 2,000 Army scientists and engineers participated in the programs in the 2016-17 academic year, and students and teachers have worked in 22 laboratories and 118 universities across the country.
