Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Volpe and Sarah Moore, hospital mates, give some clarification about why they wear the U.S. Marine Corps desert utility uniform but serve in the U.S. Navy. The sailors participated in the non-commissioned officers' development course, led by Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment's sergeant major, Sgt. Maj. Steven Peck, who compiled the curriculum for partner nation militaries during Sea Breeze 2011. Sea Breeze 2011, an exercise comprised of 13 countries, working together and participating. Partner nations will be able to meet future peacekeeping and humanitarian operations as well as counter-trafficking and other challenges. This training will help ensure participating forces achieve higher levels of interoperability, be able to operate as a multinational task force, and enhance maritime security capabilities
