Chaplain (Col.) Gregory Long, the Fort Hunter Liggett Garrison chaplain, Col. Kerry Norman, the Fort Hunter Liggett Garrison commander, Maj. Gen. Willard M. Burleson, the 7th Infantry Division commanding general, and Chaplain (Maj.) Chan Ham, the Defense Language Institute command chaplain, hang up a sign renaming the post chapel to the Lightfighter Chapel during a ceremony at Fort Hunter Liggett, Feb. 12, 2018. The chapel was re-named in honor of the 7th Infantry Division (Lightfighter). Assigned to Fort Ord, Calif., from 1974 through 1994, the division frequently trained at Fort Hunter Liggett to maintain its operational readiness in preparation to answer the Nation’s call.
