WASHIR, Helmand Province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan - Marines use the remotely operated arm of their Buffalo Mine Resistant Protected Vehicle to investigate an area where there is a suspected improvised explosive device. The Marines of Route Clearance Platoon, 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion partnered with Route Clearance Tolai, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps of the Afghan National Army in support of Operation Afghan Warrior, an Afghan lead operation.
