Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, enjoys a beverage with Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego officers durring the Commanding General's Officer Field Mess Night near the bay view June 10. Historically, MCRD San Diego conducts the CG's Dining In or Mess Night in the spring of each year to enjoy a pleasant evening of tradition and comaraderie and maintain a high morale. ''It was a great time and gave me the opportunity to meet my fellow officers and build that comaraderie that's so important in our Marine Corps," said Capt. Kyle Gallagher, Action officer, Operations. "Plus, getting to hear the assistant commandant of the Marine Corps talk is always a great thing."
