Sgt. Marina Gray a Petroleum Supply Specialist and other Soldiers of the Maine Army National Guard’s distribution platoon of the Forward Support Company, 133rd Engineer Battalion conduct sling load training with a UH 60L Blackhawk Helicopter as part of the company’s annual training at Camp Dodge, Iowa September 9-22, 2017. On a typical drill weekend Gray and her fellow soldiers conduct bulk transfers for different units throughout the state, including dropping off anywhere from 200-1000 gallons of fuel to help support other units. She also conducts truck maintenance, preventative maintenance checks and service on vehicles, driver’s training, load handling system training, flat rack loading and unloading, convoy operations and battle drills.
