Soldiers with Task Force Marauder conducted medevac training with special operations service members in Afghanistan, March 7, 2018. Members of Detachment 1, Charlie Company, 2-211th General Support Aviation Battalion (Medical Evacuation), Iowa National Guard, and medics from the 1-151st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, South Carolina National Guard, trained on proper load techniques for casualties, as well as in-flight medical care to ensure preparedness in the event of a real-world emergency. Task Force Marauder consists of Soldiers from South Carolina National Guard, Illinois National Guard, Iowa National Guard, as well as active duty component and provides aviation capabilities with AH64 Apaches, UH60 Black Hawks, CH47 Chinooks, and medevac assets in Afghanistan under the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade while deployed.
