Three UH-60 Blackhawks from 3-501st Assault Helicopter Battalion, and one CH-47 Chinook from 2-501st General Support Aviation Battalion supported the 1st Armored Division Iron Focus exercise March 24, 2018, with multiple air assaults by the opposition force Soldiers from 1st Brigade, 1AD. This force-on-force insertion provided a realistic combat scenario for the 1AD Soldiers on both sides of the attack, increasing combat readiness across the Division. U.S. Army photos by Capt.
