MONTEREY, Calif. (March 02, 2018) - A group of MOVES Institute faculty, students and staff don a variety of VR headsets created over the last 30 years. At center left, MOVES Institute founder Dr. Michael Zyda holds the VPL Eyephone, one of the oldest devices dating back to the early days of VR in 1989. Zyda currently runs the well-known GamePipe Laboratory at the University of Southern California. NPS honored 250 graduates representing every branch of the U.S. military, as well as Department of Defense civilians and 95 international students from 15 nations. The NPS mission is to provide relevant and unique advanced education and research programs to increase the combat effectiveness of commissioned officers of the Naval Service to enhance the security of the United States.
