A policeman with the 194th Military Police Company runs to the door as Sgt. Leonardo Tocaven, a 194th team leader and native of Chicago, talks through the steps of entering a room to the watching Iraqi commandos July 19. This training, conducted at the Iraqi Police Abu Risha Brigade headquarters, teaches the Iraqis how to gain entry into a room, control the level of violence and apprehend suspects. It is a precursor to crime scene exploitation training, which covers how to preserve a crime scene to collect evidence and result in the arrest and conviction of individuals involved.
