A National Guard member, assigned to Charlie Troop (Long Range Surveillance) 1-158 Cavalry, and an Australian Army Reserve soldier, assigned to the North-West Mobile Force, prepare to embark on a reconnaissance mission to gather intelligence on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's amphibious landing at Freshwater Bay in Shoalwater Training Area as part of the force-on-force training during Talisman Sabre 2011.
