1st Lt. Colton Motz, Delta Company, a 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team paratrooper, flips a tire during the second part of the Fast-Rope Insertion and Extraction System portion of the 2018 Best Ranger Competition at Fort Benning, Georgia on Apr. 13. The FRIES portion was the seventh event of the first day, teams had to fast-rope from a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and complete a series of tasks.
